Yet another fine vintage from Vergelegen, confirming position as amongst top 10 SA cabernets! This wine has a huge forward nose, cassis, cigar box and vanilla. It is beautifully crafted along classical lines. This wine has a wonderful balance between fruit wood and ripe tannins. A real treat – will improve over next 8 – 10 years.

Thelema Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 – Price : S$55.00

They now hand picked the grapes to ensure the best quality is achieved. The 01 vintage has a lithe, elegant structure from cool ripening, harmoniously integrated black currant fruit, smoky ripe tannin. For the long haul!

Hartenberg Shiraz 2000 – Price : S$40.00 

Ruby/black colour, lovely savoury nose – pepper, mocha and some vanilla notes. Full Velvety palate with loads of black fruit carefully laced with wood spice and firm, but yielding tannic structure. Lingering finish, special wine!

Stellenzicht GT Shiraz 2000 - Price: S$33.00

This full-bodied wine is intense, rich ruby hues with a distinct, youthful purple tinge dominate the colour. A rich complexity of aromas of mocha and dark-chocolate combined with spicy sweetness of ripe plums and roasted almonds. The wine is full and succulent with firm, yet soft tannins. The ripeness of fruit results in a mouth-filling experience of true Shiraz.

Warwick Three Cape Ladies 2001 – Price : S$28.50

A blend of Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot and Pinotage. The wine shows an explosive of fruits on the nose, largely due to the Pinotage component, The Pinotage is soft and sweet while the Merlot offers subtle spiciness. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the backbone of blend, ripeness tannins with an innate softness that will mature with cellaring. Full on the palate with sweetness on the finish.

Warwick Trilogy 2000 – Price : S$36.00 

Classical, no nonsense, upper end Bordeaux style blend. Pleasing red fruit, smoke and spice on the nose. It is has a firm and elegant structure with sour plums, chocolate and wood spice to the fore, long and lingering finish. Great food wine!

Du Toitskloof Cabernet Sauvignon 2002. -$26.00

A deep mulberry and ruby hues. Black currant, cassis and spices, from 8 months in wood. Palate sweetish and dense, richly textured, not over concentrated. Good, supple, dry tannins. long lasting, savoury finish.

Boschkloof Cabernet Sauvignon/ Merlot 2002 – Price: S$28.00

This full body wine has flavours of spices, coffee, chocolate, herbs and a complex tasty o oak bouquet. The wine leaves a ripe fruity taste on the palate and a firm tannin structure with a well-rounded long finish. Excellent ageing potential!

Bouwland carbernet Sauvignon/ Merlot 2002 – Price: S$25.00 

Lively mid ruby colour. Red berry tones to the fore with hints of dark chocolate and spice on the nose. Full bodied and inviting – loads of silky berry fruit, carefully mingle with nutty, toasty layers. Well structured and substantial, but very approachable !

 Zondernaam Pinotage 2001. - $25.00

The wine may be without name, but certainly not without cachet. Rated 4 stars by John Platter and described as refined, textured wine, more vinous than fruity. A splash of cab strengthens backbone. Delicious...
